On the one hand: I appreciate that others will disagree and that’s fine. The characters changed dramatically. You’d think that those things wouldn’t matter, but so much of the book was spent talking about those things, that it kind of did. There were a lot of characters involved and I gotta say I did not really like any of them. It was 3rd grade-level bad.
But they are near an old Victorian house in the backwoods of Alabama, occupied by a family of three and being used as an inn. An inbred named Pete was responsible for forcing the women in the novel to eat it because ad was “his wife. Customers who viewed this item also viewed.

Hopefully these two authors do better work on their own, because this collaboration was a failure. This is a thinly veiled hate letter aimed at anyone who does not feel the way the author does. I gave it a try. Well I should say the premise of the book actually was, but it all came together in a way I did not expect. So that’s the basic premise, sounds promising right? Except the ending will still suck. Yep, sounds like the makings of a horror story if I’ve ever heard ’em! Oh, ‘House’ is a horror novel all right; I was truly horrified that something like this got published and popularized.
Houuse is even a little romance! They seek refuge in an old house that’s been vacated for years. The writing bears more of Dekker’s style than Peretti’s, though the overall setting and story arc bear Peretti’s fingerprints admirably. I originally read the book back when it was first released, I think, but this is my first time reading it after seeing the movie.
