Thanks for telling us about the problem. There is just so much to recommend this book. Reading about Maggie made me wish she really existed so that we could be friends, so that I could visit her diner and have a slice of her blueberry pie.

A fun quick read.

It’s kristaj to feel lonely and want to find someone. I didn’t hate the book or anything. She was so sweet and, yes, a pushover at times. Maggie is owner and operator of Joe’s Diner in a small fishing town in Maine. It was a part of the story that I appreciated–how the author made the dog a huge part of her life, and showed the impact his death had on her.

It was great getting a read, or lack of, as was often the case, of Malone. The love-disapproval relationship she has with her mother is contrasted nicely with the quiet supportive one of her father.
