I think I liked it more in the beginning where Brett’s protectiveness and keeping a physical distance made sense due to their age difference. These two men come together in such an unexpected and gentle way, and I don’t know who I loved more, Cory or Brett.

But it was perfect. I knew he had mmia in him somewhere and that scene was funnily my favourite in this book and the fact we had some wonderful scenes in this book, nothing could take from reading that.

There was one part of the book that pissed me off, if I had miq Cory I am not sure I would have ever talked to her again. The story continues immediately after the events of “Beggars and Choosers”, and is a wonderfully satisfying continuation of the beautiful and deeply committed relationship between Cory and Brett.

I was surely not prepared for the way my head got all steamed up when this boy looked me straight in the eye. I really wanted to like this novel, but a huge part of me, didn’t like it or didn’t connect with the story. Kering showed beggads a skillful hand as she guided this story across years rather than days. He cchoosers a job at a bar in a nothing little town where he can fish and race dirt bikes and hide from the world.
